The Allens United Drainage & Earthwork Family
Paul and Janine Sturgeon established Allens United Drainage & Earthwork Ltd in 2005 after the successful purchase of the drainage side of the business from Paul’s father, Malcolm. Operating out of their depot in Frankton, Hamilton – both Paul and Janine have overseen the completion of numerous drainage and excavation projects throughout the Waikato region for private clients, commercial groups and local authorities. The business has built a respectable reputation for its excellent standard of workmanship and having owners that pride themselves on genuinely caring about every project, big and small ensuring that they go above and beyond for their clients.

With over 20 years’ experience in Civil Construction, Paul continues to enjoy assisting clients achieve successful outcomes for their construction projects. As a NZ Certifying Drainlayer and NZ Water & Waste Service Person L3, Paul is not only experienced but qualified to carry out Drainage and Excavation for private clients and public authorities. Paul has extensive knowledge and practical experience in completing civil construction projects, along with significant experience over the years project managing. Paul enjoys working on site with his staff as much as possible, as he believes it is the personal touch of owners taking responsibility for the project outcome that sets the business apart from the larger civil construction operators today.
Projects Supervisor, Steve Davies
Steven has been a valued member of the Allens United Drainage & Earthworks team for the past 7 years and has just recently taken a stake in the business. Steven is also an NZ Certifying Drainlayer and NZ Water & Waste Service Person L3 certified. Steven is an expert in Water reticulation, with extensive knowledge and practical experience working on large complex projects installing new and replacement water infrastructure. Steven knows that only the best quality work is expected of the drainage teams and he prides himself on his meticulous finishing work, with the knowledge that the client unfortunately only sees what is above ground, so finishing work indicates how well all of the work has been installed. Steven also mentors the company’s young apprentices, instilling good work habits, and his passion for working within the industry.
